Where to buy a left-handed bass ukulele?

I have a friend who's not having much luck finding such an instrument.

Anybody out there know of anywhere in the UK that sells them?

Probably a stupid question, but can't you just flip it around and change the strings?

I've seen a few righty ukuleles at a music shop - some are perfectly symmetrical -at least on the outside - and can be turned upside down with no problems, but it's always necessary to replace or file/adjust the bridge and nut, although that didn't look like a huge job, given the relative thinness of all the strings.

I'm not sure that it can be flipped, particularly a bass uke. I'm guessing here but the internal structure might not be 'right' after being flipped.

The strings on these are pretty thick so may be a bit more of a job than normal, but nothing a decent luthier shouldn't be able to sort out.
