philwood
Well following the thread I started wanting the opinions of exclusively fretless players, i decided to de-fret my USA precision (also its not very precise now ), and I can honestly say it the best thing I've ever done. Prosebass
Welcome to the fretless club.
Indeed, I admire your balls Phil (metaphorically speaking) for de-fretting a US 'P' , the purists will be up in arms, and some will be crying at this very moment. Wait for them to come out of the woodwork and start telling you what you have done is abhorant, against all right things, and against the will of God ! or words to that effect. I say good on you, nice playing by the way..... Paul (I,ve defretted some basses in my time) Rose

chris_b
Sounds very nice. Your intonation is a million times better than mine!!! +1 for the piezo, and a fatter, fuller, woodier tone.
dmccombe7
yep - like it. not sure i would defret my jazz. i've been looking at squier fretless jazz basses. Great song too from my namesake - LOL Enjoy - they are great fun and allow much more freedom and expression in your playing. Had a fretless precision in early 80's playing in a rock band - that was fun. Dave
