waldemar
Recently had the opportunity to pop along to SSR in Manchester for a couple of hours, where a few of their students had a go at recording the blues band I'm in. The results: http://soundcloud.com/schweinhaxe/need-your-love-so-bad All in all a pretty decent job considering it was all live and mixed on the fly..! I think we could have played better, but ain't it always the way... Thoughts? Observations?
Happy Jack
I like the feel of it, but as an inveterate tapper (finger, foot, whatever) I found the opening couple of minutes without rhythm section a bit challenging. If it was my band (which it's not, of course) I'd try that again with the drummer initially using the hi-hat very quietly to keep tempo. xilddx
I agree with Jack, and not only but also, I don't dig on the blues much so I can't really effuse about it. But it's very good, she has a great voice your singer. Sweet playing all round
waldemar
Thanks guys. Yeah, the two front-women are great. 2 very different voices but they work well together. Will try reintroducing a bit of percussion, we used to start it all in, but it slots in after a loud number now so the drop punctuates the set a bit. Can't hurt to give it a go, though. Thanks again for having a listen. w./
Blademan_98
That is a refreshing change from how we play it. Personally I would drop the guitar in the opening few bars. Piano and vocals are sweet together. Well done
