originalfunkbrother
Any pro tools experts on here? I'm trying to install the software and the hardware discs onto the laptop but whilst the software seems to be working, I'm getting a message concerning the hardware that says 'hardware not connected' even though the audio interface is. Please help. It's been driving me nuts since last night!
charic
Yup I had that recently, unfortunately it took an uninstall/ reinstall of the lot to fix it I'm afraid
originalfunkbrother
Oh okay, did it work after that? Had you done anything different from the first time round?

paul_5
You might be able to get away with 'safe uninstall' before reinstalling PT. If that doesn't work then you'll need to do a 'full uninstall' before reinstalling. Also check the latest drivers for your hardware, I seem to remember that there have been some updates recently. here's the link: http://avid.force.co...wnload/en379411 Edited November 2, 2012 by paul_5
Rimskidog
you just need to ensure you follow the install instructions to the letter. PT is generally rock solid once up and running but it can be fussy that you follow the instructions to the letter on install. also, PT often doesnt like to play with USB hubs so if you are using one of those that could be the problem.
