Hi all. I have a predicament! I'm replacing the scratchplate on a Vintage Icon Series Precision Bass model. Unfortunately, the scratchplate is slightly different from seemingly EVERY other p-bass scratchplate and I can't find anything that looks like a direct replacement on the interweb.

The plate's a slightly different shape with the neck starting a little further in and the pickups following suit. Does anyone have anything to suggest? Any help greatly appreciated because I have no idea where to go from here really! Checked all the usual sites and (obviously) they only sell the general fender replacement. Cheers all!

Give Martin Sims a call at the SimS Custom Shop as they can make any, and I mean any, scratch plate you want and to the right spec.

See: www.simscustom.com

Hope that helps!

Ask your local guitar tech to knock you one up, it shouldn"t cost to much or like someone else said try making your own, buy the material and take it to a joiner or someone similar who can cut it to size for you.
I made one about 20 years ago from a security sign i pinched off a fence ( i was young and daft then ) and it came out fine, if you can afford it though goet tit done proper so the bass looks the business.

I can recommend this place for scratchplates as required - I recently got a guitar scratchplate copied there.
