Yes it sounds like a mixture of all the stuff off regatta de blanc, this does not sound a quarter as good though, regatta is an awesome classic in my book, 3 uber talented musicians, I. Fact I might listen to the title track in a minute

the intro and first verse has similar sounding guitar and the vocals kind of sound similar at the start but after the first chorus, the song morphs into something else.

Nothing overly Police-like about this to me. The drums would have to be considerably better than this to sound Police-like.

Yeah, was thinkin exactly the same thing when I heard it in the motor today on R2, nice heavy bass, I thought she said it was Olly Mars or summat? and then I thought 'hang on should I own up to liking this', but yeah it floats my boat.

i did hear this on the radio this week and thought parts of it where police lite !
he seems to vary his music quite alot i didnt even realise it was Bruno mars at first

having just listend to that all my thoughts:

good enough that I didn't turn it off

not bad... but....

don't you think they skimped on the production/instumentation a bit? in the verse it works but then in the chorus and onwards it just feels like someone couldn't be bothered.

I like it. I'm a huge Police fan and its nice to hear a bit of an homage to the early stuff (they should've got SC to do some of his hi hat work on it, that would've been awesome sounding, as always). I also hear some Journey in there with the synths and anthemic vocal part. I don't mind that its a rip frankly (ultimately there isn't much that doesn't 'borrow' from other sounds/songs), at least it doesn't make me want to head butt the PC like some of the stuff I hear.
