Ashborygirl Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I have an AB1, these are awesome instruments. Build quality is superb, great tone, the fanned fret system works wonderfully & is a breeze to adjust too. I've owned Alembics, Wals, Steinbergers, Stati & Elricks to name a few. The Dingwall has outlasted all of them.
Truckstop Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Just a small comment: In the ad you say that this model costs £2,200 new, yet you're asking for a trade worth £2,300? That might be why no-one's biting! After a bass has been bought new, people expect a drop in price; a fairly decent drop. No matter the condition or how old it is. The fact is, is it's a second hand instrument and people want a second hand pricetag. Just a musing. Otherwise, good luck with the sale! Alex
danweb22 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 No he means he wants £2,200 (for a 2012 model which it is) for it, these are well over £3000 new!
Black Coffee Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 (edited) My price of £2,200 is already a massive drop from what i paid for it new a few months ago. If u look at the bassdirect site u will see they are around £2,800 new which is less than i paid for mine. I hope this explains the price to anyone looking. Am i still being unrealistic?? If anyone is interested just make me an offer. All i can say is yes or no. Thanks for looking. Edited January 17, 2013 by bassman344
sifi2112 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I'll trade for my Markbass Classic 300 head & 610 cab (see my FS thread) .. not that I need another Dingwall lol
Black Coffee Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Im ok for cabs and amps. Love my genz kit. Thanks for the offer though.
swanbrook Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I bought a Dingwall abII and stopped wanting any other basses Best of luck with sale a great price for an outstanding bass
Black Coffee Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 Thanks swanbrook. Circumstances kinda forcing sale. If i had any spare cash it wud be going nowhere.
BassManGraham Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 (edited) Hi Is this bass still available? You mentioned you are looking for a parallel fret 5 string? Would you be interested in Part Exchange plus cash balance to you for either a Bernie Goodfellow 5 string (in excellent condition) or German Built Warwick Corvette Bubinga 5 string? (Pristine as new). Cheers Edited April 3, 2013 by BassManGraham
