They weren't made in huge numbers and Ibanez didn't make them available in Europe. I think it looks so much nicer than the rosewood and (I didn't mention this on any other post about it) because I think the fretboard-as-tonewood thing is nonsense, I wanted the much-more-sustainable maple. bottomfeed Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Got a lot of love for Ibanez..... Always been affordable, quality instruments & not afraid of pushing the envelope with design.... Had a Roadstar II back in the 80's, served me well.... Recently acquired an ATK815 Premium & after a decent set up... I'm loving it! ....A very versatile bass.... Good lord!..... What did I look like!?!..... 1 Quote

gs_triumph Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Here's my pair of Ibanez. An '81 Blazer, still going strong. Had a rewire and a new scratchplate, otherwise very original condition. Currently strung with Labella deep talkin' flats. And my ATK 800 bought from this forum. Not sure about age but can't be very old. Sporting a set of DR Lo Riders. Thinking about changing the scratch plate. Quote
