Jono Posted May 18, 2008 Author Posted May 18, 2008 ok - back with Buffer circuit again, however price dropped.
MythSte Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Im moderately interested, what exactly would be required to install this into a bass? Just mount it on the bass the wire it to the existing circuit? Please excuse my ignorance!
Jono Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 Hi there, Yes pretty much as you suggest. Steps: You would need to mount the bridge. Feed piezo wires into control cavity. Most basses already have a passage to do this which houses the existing earth wire. Then solder piezo and existing pickups into the inputs on the buffer circuit. Then solder the buffer circuit to the output jack. That's about it. The circuit comes with full wiring instructions which are pretty simple... Or get a luthier to do it for you if you're not confident... should cost £20 to £30 for the work. Jon
Peaty Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Hi Jono what is the string spacing on the bridge? cheers pete
