Blademan_98 Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I have just been given a full drum kit The drummer in our band leaves his kit - minus snare and cymbals at my studio. I have always wanted a set myself so now I can have a good old bash! Does mean he will have to store his kit somewhere else! Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Cool! Make loads of noise,) Quote
Blademan_98 Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 Oh I intend to (Unfortunately I may end up with more respect for drummers ) Quote
lowdowner Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 I've been playing over the last few weeks (Odery kit with TRX dark jazz cymbals) and it's a complete scream! Recommend a few lessons though and then you're good to go for a bit of fun Quote
PaulWarning Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I once had a go at drums, the main trouble I had was dissociating my hi hat stick with the bass drum pedal, I found practice a bit boring after a while, so gave it up Quote
mike257 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I love playing the drums, but rarely get the chance. I've got a halfway decent grasp of it (reckon with regular practice I could pass for a drummer ) although I can't quite nail keeping a steady hi-hat foot going on the beat at the same time as playing everything else, so I'll never be Jimmy Chamberlain. Hopefully heading into the rehearsal room with my brother and a few mates for a jam soon as he's not played his new guitar in anger yet, so I've bagsied the drum stool for that! More fun than going the gym too, it's my favourite way to work out! Quote
