dr Szelma Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) nothing here... Edited November 8, 2012 by dr Szelma
JensWest Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 You have to state a price, my friend. Those are the rules.
stingrayPete1977 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) What's the bridge and tuner been replaced with? Am I right in thinking; Mm bridge gone, Mm pickup gone, Mm preamp gone, Mm tuner replaced, body routed out for extra pickup, pick guard cut out for pickup? Re fretted modulus neck. We are not allowed to comment on prices so I won't Edited November 7, 2012 by stingrayPete1977
JensWest Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I think I know where you're going with this though, Pete.
lynxus69 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Sorry, I think I'm lost here...so all it's left of a MusicMan is a body? And what model if I may ask - Stingray or Sabre? £1800 for that?..hmm...is this a prank?

stingrayPete1977 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 TBF the neck is rare even with new frets they are not going to come up often. dr Szelma Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 Stingray I can provide schamatic for the eq so you can build your own exact copy This neck had frets from the very beginning but they wanted replacing after all those years, so that's the comment I don't understand - does anybody want to play bass with that type frets - http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4021/4295978797_5005670e67.jpg or even worse... ?
stingrayPete1977 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) I never commented on the price New frets are better than worn out frets but I am sure you are aware that an original fretted neck with good condition original frets holds much more value than one with replaced frets no matter how well its been done?, thats life. What about the rest of the things I have listed like the bridge, tuner and pickguard? have they all gone? Can we see pics yet? Edited November 7, 2012 by stingrayPete1977
dr Szelma Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 Pictures when I'll receive my camera back from the repair. Frets are like strings - you need to change them from time to time, so if anybody counts it as the negative point I think we're wasting time here stingrayPete1977 - I know...
stingrayPete1977 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 If you think anyone into vintage or rare basses won't see a re fret as a negative point I'd get your tin hat ready
stingrayPete1977 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 There was no need to take your ball in with you or did someone offer the full £1800?
