rushbo Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012
No, it's the site, not you. There are a couple (maybe more) of threads on the topic e.g. this one.
Cheers BigBeatNut...I've got myself up to speed now. I hate to be a naysayer when such a lot of work has gone into the new style format, but I'm not sure it's as accessible or user friendly as previous. There must be another way to generate some revenue via the ads tho....? Quote
XB26354 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I have to admit, comparing old with new, where people have posted the same ad on both, the old is much nicer. Am I right in saying that there is no ability to "bump" classifieds, so once listed you end up in a Gumtree situation, where you ad is on page 40 after about 7 days? I also really value the interaction in the old format. Quote
Shambo Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Am I not seeing a button, or can you not distinguish between which classified adverts you've already viewed and which ones you haven't? Quote
steve Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I'll chip in my 2p, I much prefer the less formal feel of the old style market place. The new one has more of a 'corporate' vibe and seems very rigid. Quote
Hamster Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Guys We are still in the process of installing/fixing/de-bugging the marketplace, so at the moment WYSIWYG is a work in progress Quote
phsycoandy Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Is it me or are folk posting stuff for sale on the old forum and ignoring the new format? Is this known as "posting with your feet" as it were? Quote
Hamster Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Once the new classifieds is 100% functional the old marketplace will be retired but existing topics left open for sales to continue. Quote
ped Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Hi guys Please see this thread. Thanks for all the feedback http://basschat.co.uk/topic/193461-bcs-new-classifieds-section-your-opinions-please/ ped Quote
BetaFunk Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I prefer the new style classifieds. When i'm looking for a bass i'm not really interested if anyone had one of these when they were ten or their granny had a red one with only three strings. The new style gets the job done. I like it. Quote
