eddiehoffmann Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 (edited) Hey guys! Yeah, it's the time of the year again. Not a lot of cash in my pocket so I gotta let something go. This time is this beautiful Jazz Bass neck made by Doug Wilkes. For those of you who don't know his work, check his website here: http://www.wilkesgui...co.uk/index.htm It's master built quality stuff. Maple with maple fretboard and bone nut with a stunning grain. The pictures definitely don't do it justice. It's gorgeous and it plays great. It comes with a set of these vintage re-issue reverse tuners: http://www.ebay.co.u...W-/140858183344 The neck has been drilled perfectly to accommodate these type of tuners so they sit nice and flush. It's all ready to be screwed onto your favourite body (my plan was to build a Super Jazz, or a Fender-Bird around it) and rock n'roll. Condition is as new. There's not a ding or scratch on this neck. The price is £200 collected from SW9. Doug Wilkes charges £400 for a neck like this, which is cheap given the build quality. You can take it from me for half the price + you get the tuners and the neck has already been drilled for them, so no hassle. Just fun! Edited December 7, 2012 by eddiehoffmann
osborne900 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Is this the neck that cairobill had on a while ago?
eddiehoffmann Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 Yes, that's the one. I got it from Nick on a trade. It's a wicked neck and I'm kinda hoping to be able to keep it. Fingers crossed some last minute gigs come my way for December
