arthurhenry
Have any of you used this super portable guitar/bass stand? Are they sturdy and stable? Tempted to stick one of these in the gig bag, rather than carry a stand separately. Cheers!
chrismuzz
Plenty of decent reviews on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/FENDER-099-1809-000-GIG-STAND/dp/B005MR6JLA Never heard of these before... Might get one myself! I'm always balancing mine against walls and whatnot at gigs. Have you seen these too?
The Dark Lord
http://www.flickr.co...N00/6247413812/ So small you can hardly see it's there. Fit's in a pocket in my gigbag.
BigRedX
I've not come across this particular stand before, but I have seen similar ones and I own one of the Hercules mini stands. IMO it's fine for guitars with symmetrical bottomed bodies at home. However basses with their longer necks shift the centre of gravity too high for them to be stable enough, and anything with an asymmetric body like a Jazz is completely out. I would never trust it to keep any instrument safe in a gig environment.

I'd rather get a good solid stand than a little one like that. I always use Ultimate stands. Edited November 11, 2012 by Doddy
arthurhenry
At £13.95, I took a punt. Waste of time, feeble and unstable. Wouldn't even use it at home. Edited November 22, 2012 by arthurhenry
gafbass02
The markbass bass keeper is the best gig gear I've bought I reckon.
