My latest restoration job completed :o)

In June 2011 I was lucky enough to find a 1979 Hondo 2 identical to the one I saw Peter Hook playing with Joy Division in October 1979. Here he is playing it on TV that same year;

It had been rather neglected and needed restoring.

How much did you pick it up for if you dont mind me asking?

IIRC about £150, which was a real bargain. I had to drive to Brum and back to get it though.

And what did it cost you to restore? I have a mate who would love it so bad. Big Hooky fan.

Only about £50, because I am a guitar tech and did all the work myself. Only outlays were the new machine heads and a replacement bridge I bought to rob the mute pad assembly from.

Oh it sounds gorgeous, really powerful and very easy to play now it's got the perfect set up. Think I'll use it at our next gig
