4rchitec7 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 (edited) Hi guyz I put this PEAVEY TL 5 (1993) Made in USA, it'is a Tim Landers signature model This bass is a 5 pieces maple / mahogany neckthru construction, ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays Electronics is a PEAVEY DynaBass (original 90"period, with a little buzz when the treble is full) with active / passive switch and 3 band + slapswitch on the rear Sounds very very well in passive, should kill with a "more actual" onboard preamp Translucent blue gloss Peavey Super Ferrite pickups Schaller bridge EADGC mounted, but I can restore BEADG on request, the strings are new (stainless Fodera) It is in very good condition despite its age: 2 dings (one behind the head and another on the edge), some scratches on the back of the body but nothing very serious for a 20 years aged instrument The neck is straight and the frets are set in perfect condition. Comes with original box (who lived hard) or softcase new. I want 650 € + shipping no trade for the moment Edited November 10, 2012 by 4rchitec7
JensWest Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 There's something about that bass I really like!
andybassdoyle Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Massively underrated. Let me know if you change your mind re trades.
Onox Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Do you know what the Slap-Switch does with the Frequencies?
4rchitec7 Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 It´s seems to boost the hi frequencies only
White Cloud Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 These old Peaveys are arguably the best bang for buck around. Totally underated instruments.
