thegom Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Selling a G&L Tribute L-2500 Premium MN 3-Tone Sunburst over Swamp Ash. This beautiful 5 string bass has an amazing sound and you can get a huge range of active and passive of tones out of it. Check the web, this bass has fantastic reviews and is really a very versatile instrument. The 3TS version goes usually for around GBP 600-650 in the UK. I bought the bass end of 2010 and used it only a few times outside the living room. It is in a very good condition and I'd like to sell it for GBP 395.00. The bass is in South-West London (Kingston area) and can be tested and picked up here or I can put it into a Rockcase Bass Case and send it by courier (case 25GBP + courier costs). I'd be happy to trade this for a Gibson SG Bass in the worn or glossy finish or a Japan Fender Medium Scale (32''), i.e. the Jazz JB62M or another quality short/medium scale bass (happy to pay the difference in value dependent on the bass offered for trade). PICKUPS : 2 Fullerton-made G&L Magnetic Field Design humbucking pickups BODY WOOD: Swamp Ash NECK WOOD: Hard Rock Maple with Rosewood or Maple fingerboard NECK RADIUS: 12" (304.8mm) NECK WIDTH AT NUT: 1 3/4" (44.5mm) TUNING KEYS: Open-back traditional tuners BRIDGE: G&L Saddle Lock bridge, string-through-body configuration. Fender sold his company named Fender in 1965. He designed and produced instruments for Music Man in the 1970s through his company CLF Research. When relations with Music Man soured, G&L was created to continue operations outside of Music Man. The G&L name comes from the initials of George (Fullerton) and Leo (Fender). G&L instruments are similar to the classic Fenders, but with some modern innovations. They are built at the same facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California that produced the early Music Man instruments. G&L instruments are not widely distributed but are highly regarded by many musicians and collectors. The relatively small scale of production further allows for more custom options than are possible on larger production lines. Edited March 4, 2013 by thegom
BassBunny Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Cannot understand why this is still here, (Except BC has had a few traumas of late.....). Probably the most adaptable bass on the market. Mine ain't going anywhere.
thegom Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 Better don't tell me, makes me think I should better keep it... Unfortunately, I did not really get into the 5 string feeling, tried it but it does not work for me... But I agree this bass is amazing, the wood and build quality you get for the money is unbelievable. And it is so beautifully designed you can't stop looking at it...
blueakira Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Hi Newbie, is this still for sale? I'm really interested in buying it! I have sent you a private pm too...
