E string louder than all the others?

Hey Guys, got a little problem when playing through an amp with my Yamaha RBX170, the E string is alot louder than all the other strings especially at stage volume, anyone know what this could be? (compression helps but id rather get rid of the problem once and for all)

Could be your pickup height. Lower the E string side a bit and raise the G string side a touch?
