Yes, but that's an outrageous starting price! I doubt he'd get near that if it was a fretted bass, for a fretless it seems even less likely.

More photos wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I agree too pricey, I've seen them go for around half that before the recession! They did a laminate version too - very nice.

I sold mine for £110 I think. Nice bass actually, I just didnt have the inclination to set it up

I bought mine from Psychoandy of this parish for (I think) £150.

Then I spent £250 blinging it with an anodised p/g, a really nice set of Lollar P/J pickups, and some decent tuners.

It's now one of the nicest-sounding P-basses I've had, and the Maya headstock means that I can play it at jam sessions and rough gigs without worring about theft or damage.

I have a Maya. Rather good quality, nice 60's profile neck. Price is a bit high though on that one

I had a maple fretted version in the late 70's early 80's with tortoise shell scratchplate, traded to a 2nd hand store next to general dealer in Glasgow for £40 in 1984, purchased new from Wilkinsons in Airdrie in about 1978 / 79 for £170. God do I regret that decision.

I've seen photos of him on his wedding day in 1986. He looked exactly the same.
