adh925
Hey, i've just bought an orange combo having gone from a line 6 modelling amp. obv the ornage has no features like the line 6. so i was wondering would you recommend a boss compressor? just to help round the sound off? had one on the line 6 built in thought it was great and im just struggling at the min to find a good all round tone with the orange. Like i have my 'geddy lee' tone the real punchy one but id like a happy medium between that and a nice rounded bass tone. would the compressor be the right thing? sorry for being so long winded. Thanks
adh925
Jeez I dunno why I said compressor o meant the limiter enhancer. Sorry
xgsjx
What about a Line 6 M5, M9 or M13? Would give you what you want & some other effects to play with too.
adh925
I was looking at them but I'd quite like to have separate stomp boxes. As listening to friends ones in the past they seem to give a better result, plus as a one of payment the multi ones are expensive haha
xgsjx
A 1/2 decent compressor would easily cost as much as a M5. I think your best option would be to find some local shops that have various compressors & limiters, take your gear along & try until you find what you like the sound of.
