PTB Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 Have just done a two-parcel purchase off Chris. A courier nightmare then ensued but they were no match for Chris’ tenacity and the items were eventually delivered after I provided video evidence of their lies. Chris went above and beyond to ensure that the couriers did what they’d been paid to do and I’m very grateful for his proactive and persistent approach. The items are exactly what I was looking for, clearly described and very well packed. As others have said, he is top of the top bananas on here. Thanks Chris!! Quote
Chezz55 Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Just taken delivery of a 51 P style bridge from Beedster (Chris), who is a fine fellow and a pleasure to deal with. Very pleased with all aspects of the transaction, thanks Chris - job's a good 'un. Quote
Bassfingers Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Bought another P bass body from Chris - super quick delivery and well packaged. Lovely colour on this one Chris - thanks again. 👍 Quote
binky_bass Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Chris sold me his Mesa M-Pulse and Diesel 2x10 cab. He even dropped them to my front door despite the price being undeniably good! The man is a gent and a credit to Basschat. First time we've met in person despite having both lurked around the dark corridors of Basschat since before dinosaurs roamed the earth! Top marks sir, I shall enjoy this reasonably small but horrifically heavy Mesa rig! Cheers, Russ. Quote
chyc Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Microphone stand came quickly, as described in excellent condition. Thank you very much Chris for the great transaction. Quote
Steve Browning Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Chris bought a bass in bits from me. Deal all done in a matter of minutes and in exactly the manner you would expect from someone who is highly respected in this community. If I say I never want to deal with him again, it's only because I really need to control my GAS. Some is more easily contained than another! Quote
Owen Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 Chris had things I did not know existed but I needed as soon as I clocked them. I have only just paid and they are not packed yet. But I just know everything is going to be alright. Quote
Chimike Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Was great to meet up with Chris last week, when he picked up an amp and some "black boxes " ( my wife's description ! ) from me. Had an enjoyable chat 'bout bass things , even though we were pushed for time . Chris was well organised, and a pleasure to deal with ,communicating well at all times , despite some "logistics" problems which Chris quickly dealt with. Basschat at it's Best ! Thanks Chris, Enjoy the amp. Quote
WalMan Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Had a meet up with Chris on the concourse at Victoria to finally conclude the saga of the Status/Geddy Jazz. And to be clear it was only a saga as the the listing started while I was laid up with a leg in plaster for 6 weeks after an operation so couldn't travel. Anyway after some tooing & froing I was mobile again in an Aircast and we managed to complete the deal yesterday. A train journey up to Victoria to meet Chris, collect the bass, have a chat and then head back to our respective trains. All easy with good comms. Thanks to Chris for a lovely bass and for travelling down to meet roughly in the middle. 1 Quote

And I'm so sorry to have had so little time Al, would have loved to have shared a bite and a beer mate, perhaps next time. Hope you enjoy that bass and that especially lovely neck 👍 2 Quote
Mickeyboro Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Bought my Who box set - can’t think of a more appropriate owner. The man’s a legend! 1 1 Quote

I have to say I ruddy love the bass and neck. Added a Hipshot and it’s all good. Plenty of range, nice neck and just the right amount of zing for me. So glad we managed to get the deal done eventually with all the problems arranging a meet after the op on my ankle in September 😁 1 Quote
Hutton Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Have just purchased a Mesa Boogie WD800 from Chris. A thorough gent and a credit to this forum. Quote
Rabbie Posted Saturday at 00:08 Posted Saturday at 00:08 I bought Chris’s Grace Felix and both the item and the seller are fantastic. Chris is a credit to the humans, and especially to the humans who play bass. 1 Quote
