chilievans
Pretty simple really guys, I'm looking for a cab To go with my Ashdown Little Giant. Whats the best bang for my bucks?
chrismuzz
If it was me, I would look at used Peavey and Ashdown cabs. a 4x10 can usually be had for £100 or less!
hamfist
Need more info. Do you want small and light, yet still giggable, or is a big, heavy cab going to be OK ?
Lozz196
Yep, providing you can lift it, and have enough room in your car for it, the Peavey 410TVX is an awesome cab, and usually available for well within your budget.
ben604
If you're looking for something a little smaller and lighter than the Peavey 4x10, Thomann are selling the GK MB212 2x12s for just over £200. Worth a look.
hamfist
If I were looking for small and light, and giggable for that sort of money, new I'd get a GK112 neo. Used, you should be able to pick up a lightish 212 or 210 for about that money. If weight and size is no issue, then there are a multitude of used 4x10 cabs out there for the money. yoseph900
Have a look at these. Genz Benz 210 front ported awesomeness. I tried them out yesterday, they sound massive, the front ports make a big old diff, and they're in this sale thing. RRP £663 and they're being sold for £199. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdiy9ahwIG1rkvo55o2_1280.jpg

http://gakmusic.tumblr.com/
THose are the Genz XB-2 cabs. THey are pretty well respected from what I have read. I used to have the 8x10 version of the XB-3, which is very similar. Great cabs, very, very well built, but quite heavy.

Graham
If weight and size aren't an issue the Hartke Pro 4200 is a lot of cab for the money; it is a beast though.
pietruszka
There's a hartke 410transporter going in the for sale section for £80 I believe, great cabs and not too heavy. Dan

Do they use double the thickness of depleted uranium that Trace Elliot use to line their cabs? Bargain if you can lift it.

thumperbob 2002
I have a Peavey 210 tx you could have had for like £40. Had it for years- could probably survive an atomic bomb. Weighs as much as my Hartke 4 x 10!
JohnFitzgerald
I've just sold my Peavey 410tx for £60. A truly awesome cabinet, but a wee bit heavy shall we say. If I had a resident gig somewhere and didn't need to move it, I would have kept it. No question. I believe that I got the going rate for it. Sometimes on sale at a bit more than that, but they don't sell. Having said that, if I had your £200 budget, that Genz Benz from GAK looks a no brainer. TheRockinRoadie
I think I'm about to order one of the Genz Benz 210's to go with my Marshall MB450 - I've had lots of problems with the Marshall MBC115 so I'm looking to upgrade! Whats the verdict?
JTUK
maybe.... but you should read the thread about an RH450 not being loud enough, and the point is that the 210 is the limiting factor if your band is punchy and loud. There is only so much a 210 or a 112 can do if you need volume. Sure, you can EQ to get more out of it, but that could be at the expense of your tone as you are then in the realms of useable V desirable and they might not be the same...!! I use both 112 and 210 but there are gigs where they just don't work well enough on their own. You will need a top draw 210 to go loud with bass (ditto 112 )...and the limit will be about 350w but that is too much for a single, IMO.
