alyctes
Okay, I've never heard of these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Bass-Guitar-Original-Burns-Weill-Super-Streamline-Bass-Guitar-1959-/200849426947?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2ec38f0a03 TBH, I'm not surprised... what a weird beast. ash
I think he's using the Burns connection to push the sale - looks like a Fenton Weill to me very interesting and fairly historic old bass. I had a more restrained Weill design bass and it played well enough. The asking price is a bit optimistic in my opinion. Some info here - http://www.vintagehofner.co.uk/britamps/fenton.html
mckendrick
I think he's using the Burns connection to push the sale....
I think he's well withing his rights, as it's from the year (1959) that Weill and Burns worked together. They were a gnats close to becoming Burns-Weill.
ash
Oh yes the Burns connection is true enough - still a tad on the dear side for me though.
yepmop
That's one seriously ugly bass, should have been destroyed at birth
