Coilte Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Free bump for a great bass at a very fair price.
White Cloud Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Wow, really nice for this price! Why only two controls though? Anyone explain how a double pup bass works with two control knobs??

Coilte Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 (edited)
Unusual!
Yes, it is unusual. The split coil pick up is VERY hot. Lots of SB2 Trib. owners (myself included) use the volume knob on the jazz pick up as a tone knob. Others get a stacked pot fitted to accommodate a tone knob. I have done this with my USA SB 2 (see my avatar). I dont feel the need for a tone knob at present, though I may get one fitted at some stage. Even with the price of this upgrade, you are still getting a lot of bass for the money. Edited December 16, 2012 by Coilte
yorks5stringer Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 If I played 4 stringers I'd have it like a shot! I can't believe this price for a new G&L they are all at least £200 more. Have a bargain bump on me!
