Yeah I know, probably one of the most talked about brands on the net of recent times, but has anyone here imported one into the country yet? I'm really considering importing one from Rondo as a workhorse, but am always a bit cautious about buying from abroad.

Any opinions on SX/accounts of experiences with Rondo apreciated!
Top row on the screen, button called 'Search'. Answers a surprising amount of questions. In short, people have been pleased with their SX purchases from Rondo.
+1 really.

There's even a small SX club, but be careful touching them, rumours are they've all got the lergy :)

Main culprits are all in the SX thread in the Bass Porn section.

To answer the question (assuming you've not searched already) I think the only way to get an SX branded bass is to import them from Rondo. So yes, pretty much anyone on here with an SX has had it imported and said the experience has been fine. I say 'SX branded' because other basses are apparently the same thing, but with a different name on the headstock but are readily available in the UK (Jim Deacon being one)

And the "No Name" ones as well. Curly Music in Liverpool will sell you either a Jazz or P Bass for £115 and they are outstanding quality.

express music seem to import SX and Jim deacon basses, the SX ones they have are the bass collection type ones but they could get the others i suppose.

my local guitar shop stocks sx basses, guitars etc. They currently do a p and j style bass package, but i reckon if you ask them nicely they would do the basses on their own. Website= http://www.hartnollguitars.co.uk

From what's been said on the SX Owners Gallery thread in the Bass Porn section of Basschat, the SX basses that come in the starter packs have 21 frets as opposed to 20 frets on the ones that Rondo sell individually and aren't as good quality.

Waltons in Dublin still has them, though I'm not sure if the Euro/Pound exchange rate is that competitive vs. the USA.

Yep, your right mate. It's no good...... I love the SX headstock. And I think it's going to be the SPB-57 black 'n' maple, and may the pimping begin!

The no-names were still awesome for the price though.
