kevin_lindsay
The guitar is a steel bodied tricone style. The instrument was bought by myself from someone who owned it for a couple of years. It is a Vintage AMG-3 model. This has an aged "dull" finish. I buffed this to a semi gloss look which looks kinda cool. The standard Vintage headstock is black with a white "Vintage" logo. However, I decided to change it for the logo you can see in the pics below - I think the new headstock looks a bit better? The guitar is in great condition and there's a hard shell case included to keep it safe whenever it is transported. The original resonator cones were rather uninspiring and "clunky" sounding. I ordered a replacement set of Delta Resonator Cones, hand spun by Colin Oldham. These provide a brighter tone for that resonator "banjo style" sound. Before installing the new cones, I dressed and cleaned the pan to ensure the best transfer of sound to the body, I also had the guitar set up for fingerstyle playing. So, you can play along to Dire Straits' "Romeo and Juliet" without hurting your fretting hand! The guitar was also restrung with D'addario resonator strings. Beedster
If it hasn't gone by payday Kevin (end of next week) I'll definitely take it. Given the circumstances I hope that it has. C

And thanks to everyone ego contacted me regarding the guitar, I'll get the money to the family whenever I receive it.
Beedster
Thanks Kev. I think it's outstanding that you've sold this instrument to benefit Caden's family. I still think about the little guy everyday, as I'm sure do many people who read the story. Every time my little girl plays with the Resonator, which she will love (she find anything that makes a noise fascinating and shiny objects even more so), it'll remind me just how lucky I am to have her.
