Hello from Manchester

Hi all, decided to join this forum as there are loads of good bass people on it and some great info. I'm Simon and I have been playing bass on and off for over 10 years or so although my main instrument was guitar! I have now switched permanently to bass as I love the instrument so much due to the fact that I've always been a huge fan of Mr thunderthumbs Mark King! I currently play in an originals band called Exit 7 and we play indie rock/pop style of music. I use a Status groove and also a Traben chaos obsession bass both 4 stringers, an Ashdown 220 15" touring combo with the occasional addition of a Line 6 bass pod. Looking forward to some good bass banter with you guys and gals. :-)

I too swapped from guitar although that was 20 years ago. Talking of mark King I just sold a jaydee, nice it was too!

Welcome to BC. You're one step closer to being completely brainwashed by low notes and then you will never be able to put your bass down again. But as others have said, there's plenty of banter too, not always bass related.
