KevB Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Unibass pedal up for grabs http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AKAI-UB-1-UB1-UNIBASS-OCTAVER-SYNTH-BASS-/300821358673?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item460a59a851 It's not that I want one. I have one that I never really use so if someone really does cough up £300 for it I'll be sorely tempted to shove mine on the 'bay too. Quote
BassPimp66 Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 £300 wow!!!! That's half the price of a decent amp... is it that good? Quote
KevB Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Well it will do what it states. However I think to get the best from it you really need to run the additional harmony signal out to another separate rig from the one you are playing the bass through so personally I'm not sure it is worth the hassle. I was able to contribute a lot more background sound in a 3 piece by using midi pedals and a sound module through the PA than having this. The price reflects the fact it isn't in production anymore as much as the quality of the pedal. Quote
Happy Jack Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I had a Unibass. Liked it but not enough to keep it. It cost me (I think) £70 second hand and I sold it for about the same. I now use a Fishman Fission Powerchord which does pretty much exactly the same job, is built like a tank, takes up less space on a pedalboard, and is much less garish. http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fishman-fission-bass-powerchord-fx/53647 £300 for a 2nd-hand Unibass? E's avin a giraffe. Quote
