Hey guys,

After chasing this bass for the last 5+ years since I first owned it I'm lucky to own it again (Thanks to Barrie & Bass Gear!), especially since when I first had it it still had the original preamp and pick guard. But unfortunately, the realisation that I can't be without a Warwick has hit me...again :P

So onto the bass...

It's a 1998/99 Fender USA Deluxe jazz in a nice burgundy finish, it has a 22 fret maple neck and rosewood finger board, and the smaller body shape. The pick ups and preamp have been replaced with the Sadowsky pick ups and pre which are standard in both the Metro and NYC models.

I can recall how the Fender sounded orignally and it was a nice sounding active jazz then, but the Sadowsky upgrade has really improved the sound and flexibility of the bass. It basically is a Sadowsky on the cheap :)

For a bass which is 10+ years old it is in generally good condition, but there are a couple of noticeable dings on the body, one on the front and one on the back, and a few little ones on the side. And there are few dings on the headstock which are in the pictures. In the flesh they really don't look that bad at all.

The bass also comes with the original Fender moulded hard case.

As I said at the top, I'm primarily looking for a trade for a Warwick, either a Thumb 4/5 string or a Streamer Stage 1 4/5 or a Streamer LX 4/5 string, Streamer $$ 4/5 string. No Corvettes please. I can add a bit of money for the right deal too.

Withdrawn..

Any more info or pictures please just let me know.

Thanks guys,

Josh.

Bump.

I could be tempted with a Geddy Lee too.

And also a pic of the bass during yesterdays Cautioners recording:

Hey Paul,

For a cash price I'd be looking for between £700-£750.

I did a few quick clips of the bass due to some interest:

As said further up the page, I would be quite tempted with a Geddy Lee jazz as I'm going through quite a Rush phase and I've always fancied having one. And I'm open to Yamaha TRB's also.

Bump.

I'd also be interested in a USA Jazz.

No interest at all for a Sadowksy on the cheap?
