Wow, is that a real 1964 5 string Jazz Bass? It looks soooo authentic.

"This is better than a custom shop model" Should have gone to Specsavers?

Exactly what natural process have they reproduced by putting a bloody big burn slap bang in the middle of the rear body? Sex on Fire? Live in Montreaux? Is it a Fender-Burns? Did someone use the ashtray and it burnt through?

Barf!!! I don't mind relicing if done well, but some people...... Well words fail me. I think that there's a gap in the market for relicing tutors. This is just pain nasty.

Are you guys joking??? that bass is awesome!!!! I cried just admiring its beauty.

Nah, it's a wind up - it's horrible. Having said that. I'd gladly have it cheap and remove that finish if I still played 5 strings.

"Distressed"? I'd have described it as "suicidal".

Read the feedback he gets....they love him. There's obviously a market out there for these black and decker jobs. There's nowt so queer as folk.

I hope you are not being "distressophobic".....

I don't understand the attraction of a pre-roadworn bass?

IMO It's analogous to passing over Katherine Jenkins in favour of Jocelyn Wildenstein.

More evidence of the horror & butchery HERE

I am afraid I REALLY cannot see what anyone sees in this sort of BS
Q: Hi - how much does it weigh? Was it relic'd at the factory, or is that something you've done?
A: Weight is 4.25KG And yes i relic'd it, I relic guitars for a living, so its a very professional job.
- for which read "I totally f#ck up guitars for knobs like you so you don't have to. Yours an even bigger one"

Wait, it ended at 99p with no bids? I'd have took it for a quid... what happened? Wish I'd have read about this yesterday...

Or did it have a reserve?

Keep an eye out for it's re-listing. Bet it goes for few quid with some of you keen to get your hands on it for spares!
