RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted November 25, 2012 Share Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) I believe that they are 'bass pedals', but haven't seen any you tube clips with a bass guitar plugged in. Moog products in general look cool, but are very expensive. Maybe it's best to use other companies for bass effects,and if I want anything moog , then buy a moog keyboard. What do you think? jonsmith Posted November 25, 2012 Share Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) It's not really an effects unit*, it's more like a set of Taurus pedals (as used by the likes of Genesis & Rush) without the actual pedals. To get proper use of them, you need a set of pedals (like the Roland PK5) or a keyboard to give it midi notes to play. It came out too late for me when I was looking for bass pedals for the prog lot I am with and I got a DSI MoPho from eBay. gelfin Posted November 25, 2012 Share Posted November 25, 2012 Just read the review on this and I can't see replacing my Taurus 3 pedals. Just seems to much hassle to use. Taurus 3. urb Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 These work pretty well as a cheap-ish and relatively reliable analogue-to-MIDI converter - you can get a signal splitter and run both clean bass and synth at the same time: http://www.sonuus.com/products_i2m_mp.html Just a thought - the Taurus sounds pretty amazing - though I think not being able to turn the knobs while playing would be a shame... although I guess you could MIDI-map those too....
