Rumble
I've recently acquired one of the original TRB6p's which is tonally what I've been searching for the last 20 years, but there's just one problem, the ergonomics just don't seem to be suiting me. In particular, where I rest my right arm, I just can't get comfortable. I've even considered stripping the lacquer to the bare wood so that I could try a subtle reshaping job along the top edge of the body - such is my love of this bass! Can anyone offer me some suggestions for how I can accommodate / compensate so that I can keep this stonking bass? Failing this, are there any other basses out there that offer the TRB tone with different ergonomics?
LukeFRC
if it's a keeper.... do what you want to it!
Rumble
Hmmm! How easy would it be to strip all the lacquer off back to bare wood?
LukeFRC
- depends what kinda lacquer it is. If it's poly - hard. prob easier to change your playing technique!
Rumble
It's a pretty old bass so I imagine it'd just be plain old lacquer. Wasn't the poly stuff a more recent advance?
