Adam Clayton's sound

Just been watching the U2 vertigo live 2005 Chicago DVD and I absolutely love the sound of Adams sherwood green jazz bass , anyone else with me?

Think he was in a trebly phase - he seems to go through them from time to time before going back to "fat p bass" as now
Listen to New Year's Day in "under a blood red sky" - totally different

If I recall the snowy vid for New Year's Day correctly he played the same green jazz in it, filmed in Canada I believe

Yeah think both sounds are great but with the jazz basses and lak lands of that time I thought he was sounding great!

He does have a great tone on that DVD. Would he have been using his Ashdown "Entwistle" rig at that time?

Yeah think he was using that buddy, love the tone of the jazz basses

What do I know but I just find his playing to be .............well boring.

Not the most exciting bass player in the world but good for that band I guess
