Evil Undead Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) Ack, what's the point? Cheers for the ear guys Edited November 26, 2012 by Evil Undead Quote
neepheid Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012
The guy ended up not really enjoying my bass, and he put it up for sale on here a few weeks later - I jumped on it straight away, even offering more than the value I traded to get it back, telling him how much I missed it - but the guy told me he wouldn't sell it back to me. I've no idea why he wouldn't but I was very upset, and still feel very bitter about it. Perhaps even a little angry with him.
This, I don't understand. Quote
spongebob Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Stick with the Precision, Ms. Undead! I sold mine (as you spotted) - foolishly - and ended up dumping everything and getting another! Quote

gary mac Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 How weird that he wouldn't sell it back to you. I wonder why, you'd think he would just be pleased to have had a buyer and one that he had already had dealings with. Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Sounds odd to me, a sale is a sale, either you want to sell or you don`t. Quote

ezbass Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Sellers remorse, I hate it having had it many times, but GAS is a cruel mistress to be sure. Quote
Cairobill Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Just try a few of the same model and buy a new one? Ibanez standards are very consistent if I recall correctly. Weird he wouldn't sell it back though Quote
I wondered something similar. Perhaps he'd knackered the truss rod or something and wanted to pass it off? You can't claim "it came to me like that, I had no idea" when it came from the person you're trying to sell it to. Quote
Evil Undead Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 You're probably right. It crossed my mind as well. Quote
megallica Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 What if another BCer bought it on your behalf? Quote

lettsguitars Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I would have to say the only reason for not selling it back was that they bought it, swapped some bits out, pickups maybe and sold it on. You would obviously notice the changes. One way to acheive a free upgrade. Quote
