I'm looking for a TRADE for a Marcus Miller 4 string Jazz Bass (with cash adjustment), which MUST be in WHITE (I know, fussy aren't I!)

The Sandberg is in PRISTINE condition and plays & sounds as you would expect........awesome! But I've wanted a Miller Jazz for some time now for a "KEEPER".

Anyone in the frame?

The site's picture uploader appears not to be working at the moment?????? So if you can offer what I'm looking for, drop me a line and I'll send you an image.

Alternatively, would sell for £750

Cheers
Rowley

I know only too well how it feels to get a case of GAS...but in all honesty the Sandberg is a lot more of a bass than the Fender MM (sorry MM owners!).

Keep the Sandberg!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't doubt you're wisdom, and I must admit it really is a gorgeous bass in every way. That said, I have a Mex Jazz Deluxe with a J-Retro which I just keep picking back up, and it's certainly equal to the Sandberg in terms of tone range and has a gorgeous neck.

Perhaps if no-one comes forward with the right offer (and I'm in no hurry) I'll just keep it, sell a few other things, and buy a used Miller as well!.......don't tell the missus I said that tho'!

I had an oly white Miller. It was a minter and I didn't realise how sought after they are until I put it up here for trade. It swapped quickly for a Stingray. I'm a pick player and try as I might I couldn't get the Miller to sound right, far to much top end and honk for me. Funnily, enough very nearly traded it for a Sandberg, which I love the lokk of!

I'm completely the opposite as a finger player (and indeed find it difficult to play with a pick) but each to their own. Somehow it's the LOOK of the white miller that appeals as I know I can get the sound I like from it, and I admit that might not be the right reason to get rid of the Sandberg.........but what the hell!

Is this a Jazz width neck & what do the controls do?
[/quote]

It is a jazz width neck and the pots, starting with the one closest to the neck and working backward, are as follows;

1. Volume Push/Pull - activates/de-activates the active circuitry
2. Pickup balance
3. Treble
4. Bass

Further there is a toggle switch which splits the humbucker (bridge pickup) to a single coil pickup.

Hope this helps. :)
