hamfist Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) SOLD .... nothing to see here. 4 string Status Energy, in sea foam green, from the late '90's. Made in England. Two (passive) Status hyperactive soapbars, plus active tone control, master volume and pickup blend. Be aware that this bass puts out plenty of bass, yet also as much treble as you want ! For a one knob active tone control it's quite useful actually. neck is re-inforced with a graphite rod either side of the truss rod and is very stable. Absolutely stunning action and playability. nice slim neck. Comes in at exactly 3kg (6.6lbs) on my rather cheap bathroom scales. It is a pleasantly light bass, and hangs very comfortably. Certainly an easy bass to wear for a long gig. In really quite excellent condition for it's age. Just a tiny bit of buckle rash on the back and a few other really minor marks which don't detract from the generally really nice condition of the bass.I have been so impressed with the incredible playability of this bass, that I have just bought a Status series 2, hence the sale of this energy, I need the money to pay for the S2. Will come with a Status gig bag. Sorry, no trades. £349 collected from Southampton or £359 couriered to a mainland UK address. Please see my feedback as I have sold a fair few basses, amps and pedals through this site. All with very happy buyers. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me or phone me on 023 80410737. marcus bell Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Lovely that colour! Good luck with the sale!
pluckedout Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 much as Status are an awkward and pompous company to deal with these days, these Energys are great basses - I had one for 15-odd years and it was superb; the wood necks are just as good to play as the graphite ones and very stable. Lovely colour and a good price too - IIRC the gloss colour finish was an extra £150 option at the time on top of the £699 basic price.
hamfist Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 If this doesn't go soon, I may well keep it ............ Hmmmmmm ...... Someone please buy it and take the decision out of my hands.
