Love the sound of Fender bass amps. Really nice warm deep tones. I reckon you`ll be very happy with that amp - especially at that price.

I may well replace the speaker with something really beefy, eg a B&C 10HPL64, just so I can use it at small gigs with zero fart-out risk, so long as I don't drive it too hard, of course.

Well fender amps have a tradition of less-than-feather lightness. Especially the ones that say Bassman.
