Gust0o Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I'm thinking about my pedals again, and as the title says, I'm curious as to what people partner their Fuzz effects with. So, for those players who have big Fuzz sounds, what else do you have on your board and why? Quote
pantherairsoft Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Octave before and envelope after for fat analogue synth sounds! Quote
bobbass4k Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I really like it with phaser too, it can sound a bit cheesy but if use properly It think it helps high register stuff stand out. Quote
cheddatom Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I like to parallel blend it with a really harsh attacking overdrive sound Quote
thisnameistaken Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012
Octave before and envelope after for fat analogue synth sounds!
And a sample rate reducer for that broken robot vibe. And a 2-octave pitch shift so you can bust out the Top Gun theme in the middle of your band's crappy 'ballad'. Quote
Low End Bee Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 EHX Bass Big Muff going into a Digitech Synth Wah. Just one song and only on the outro where it all goes a bit cheap acid. Quote
+1 and my modfactor for various things and a Ibanez PM7 which freaks things out nicely and a Boss Slicer to chop it up oh, and more fuzz, obviously Quote
GazWills Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 phaser (before) and analog delay after Quote
GazWills Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I'm not a massive fan of filters but +1 to the octave pedal before Quote
Ruiner Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 +1 on the octave pedal. I like to use an OC-2 into either a frederic effects green russian or more recently the fuzzrocious grey stache. Quote
Doddy Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I like mixing it up with some envelope filter or octaver...sometimes both. For some really crazy stuff,I like to add a ring modulator-it's mental. Quote
TG Flatline Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Octave before is just fantastic. Octave plus fuzz in the loop of my Meatball clone for more fantastic. Not always usable in the bands I've been in, but lots of fun. Also phaser before or after. Can be pretty mental after the fuzz but again good fun! Quote

EskimoBassist Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 A volume pedal, an octaver, a filter, an overdrive, another fuzz, a delay, a reverb, a phaser, a chorus... pretty much most things can sound cool with a fuzz. Generally I'll stack it with an overdrive, currently my BB Pre, or an Octaver, currently an OC-3. Quote
