yepmop
Hi All Being a bit bored I thought I'd start a thread about forming your ultimate band, the only rules are; You are the bassist and all other musicians must be still alive, so here's mine; Bass - Me Guitar - Steve Hackett (the ultimate guitarist so underrated) Drums - Neil Peart (just gets better and better) Keyboards - Rick Wakeman (just love his style and sense of humour) Vocals - James LaBrie (Dream Theater) Good set of lungs Type of Music - A mixture of Prog/Jazz/Blues Rock (if this is possible ) Cheers Tony
LiamPodmore
Vocals - Brent Smith of Shinedown (The only thing i need to say about this man is 'Her Name is Alice') Guitar - Paul Crook from The Neverland Express, AKA Meatloaf's backing band (Incredible versatility and immense talent) Bass - Me Keys - Vadim Pruzhanov from Dragonforce (The man is a wizard when it comes to keys/synths) Drums - Edd Langmead of Boomin (Partly because of his phenomenal vocals, and he's really easy to lock in with) That would be one amazing band to be in IMO. thisnameistaken
Vocals: Lowkey, Deeder Zaman, Josh Waters-Rudge Keys: Herbie Hancock Drums: ?uestlove Bass: Bill Laswell I think that'll do. Let them work out it.
seashell
Vocals : James Hetfield Guitar: Jimmy Page Drums: Charlie Watts I don't think I need keys in my band, but I'll let Rick Wakeman join in if he wants to. I'll play bass as long as they don't all bully me, and are happy to let me just play roots, 3rds and 5ths
MiltyG565
me on bass. John Frusciante on vocals Josh klinghoffer on keyboard and backing vocals Chad Smith on drums (who else?) Mark Knopfler on guitar, only a little less bluesy. Tom morello on rhythm guitar. Yeah, a big mish mash of what those artists are known for, but that would be a great band i think. Anybody ever heard Josh Klinghoffer sing? wow!

bobbass4k
My answer this changes every time, today's selection: Vocals: Chino Moreno (Deftones, lovely soaring clean tones and a good scream) Vocals: Eva Spence (Rolo Tomassi, I like female rock vocalists and she's the best) Guitar: Mike Vennart (Oceansize, British Theatre and whoring himself out to Biffy Clyro) Guitar: Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai, simple, beautiful playing) Bass: Neil Mahony (Amplifier, wonderfully creative bassist) Electronics/Keyboards/Guitar: Bryant Clifford Meyer (Isis, Red Sparowes, somewhat under appreciated but I don't think Isis would have been the same without him) Drums: Mark Heron (Oceansize, Kong, technically impressive but also astoundingly creative) I'm not really sure what it would sound like but I'd pay good money to see it. the_skezz
Guitar - Izzy Stradlin, love his playing. Moreso than Slash's. Drums - Ginger Baker, throws in some great drumming without overdoing it. Vocals - Klaus Meine, sounds great live and on record, can't get enough of his vocals. SpaceChick
It's awful, but I'm not good enough to be in my own band on bass.... I'll play the triangle and hand the reins of the bass to John Taylor and learn what I can Drums - Ringo Starr Guitar - Eric Clapton (as long as he promises to NEVER sing! I think he's a fab guitarist, but can't sing for toffee) Vocals - Kylie - as I think she would be fun to work with. Keyboards - Not in my band, but I would like Paulo Nuttinis brass section! Could live with that too To be fair to Dave Lombardo, he can do other kinds of metal that aren't thrash - if and when he wants to. He's not necessarily always stuck in the ultra-fast Slayer lane, although that clearly is his favourite mode by far. \m/ \m/
