I think I might expand my band to include a string section. How about Darryl Way on electric violin and Julian Lloyd Webber on cello? Although if the cello frequencies interfere with my bass he might have to go and make the tea instead.

Oh, and maybe Ian Anderson on flute?

Hi All

Being a bit bored I thought I'd start a thread about forming your ultimate band, the only rules are;

You are the bassist and all other musicians must be still alive, so here's mine;

Bass - Me B)
Guitar - Steve Hackett (the ultimate guitarist so underrated)
Drums - Neil Peart (just gets better and better)
Keyboards - Rick Wakeman (just love his style and sense of humour)
Vocals - James LaBrie (Dream Theater) Good set of lungs

Type of Music - A mixture of Prog/Jazz/Blues Rock (if this is possible :D )

Cheers

Tony

Same for me except Benoit David on Vox

Mine changes daily, however today's would be:

Vocals: Sam Cooke
Rhythm Guitar: James Hetfield
Lead Guitar: Clapton (from 60's - 70's - not safe boring Clapton)
Drums: Levon Helm
Bass: Rick Danko
Piano: Stevie Wonder
Organ: Steve Winwood

My vocalists generally change to Cat Stevens and Steve Mariott

Much like all stars jams, just having the best players doesn't necessarily equal the best results. Music is more than that. It's chemistry. I don't think the Beatles would have been better with John Lennon being replaced by Yngwie Malmsteen.

Love the new avatar, In his new film he plays a P-bass for a few moments, I wonder if he is a closet bass player?

Thought you'd have him playing bass in your ultimate band :D
