Walker
Does anyone have any advice on using the single knob compression on the Yamaha MG desks? Any idea where to start, setting wise, for vox? Also, if an acoustic guitarist isn't too good with dynamics, would it be ok to add some compression to his channel? Thanks Chris
bremen
Start with it at zero, turn it up til it sounds horrible then turn it down some. Compression is always going to make feedback more likely in a live situation, and in my experience acoustic guitars (do you mean miked up or with a pickup?) trying to get heard over loud electric instruments or drums are never far away from feedback anyway, so good luck with that! Walker
Thanks for that bremen. The guitars have pickups and the sound holes blocked with those rubber bungs - that helps quite a bit.
