4 Strings
Found this: http://www.musik-schmidt.de/gb-Music-Man-Sabre-MN-Sledge.html but can't see any other reference to a new Sabre (I suppose to follow up the 'Ray Classic). Anyone else know anything about this?
skidder652003
2800 euros! They're kidding right?
stingrayPete1977
Its just the Limited Edition Sledge one, I think they are doing a Ray too? Sledge as in Hammer as in Tony Levin and Peter Gabriel.
4 Strings
Not as in Sister, then. Disappointing on two levels.
swanbrook
My experience with ebmm is that the ltd models will fetch less than half what you paid for them when you try to sell them. Nice looking bass but at 2800 there is a lot you could buy.

drTStingray
Do you think they might, further down the line, produce some Sabres in more standard colours like natural? You would think that might be a logical follow up, and would reflect what happened with the Classic Rays. My experience of the LE models is they do actually fetch more than the comparable regular model, used. I've been lusting after a 30th Anni Stingray but they are significantly more than a regular used Ray. The 20th Anniversary even more than that. stingrayPete1977
Ive seen 30th anniversaries go for £800 odd recently, not long ago they were £1200 used.
RhysP
Does anybody know how heavy these are? I just wondered if it was a Light Sabre.........
swanbrook
I bought a 30th for 1200 usd and sold it for 800 euro. Saw a 2006 ltd ( black and gold) stingray 5 go for 800 euro too. I bought a 25th 5 string HSS for 3600 and got 1800 for it a year later. Just saying, I have no experience with any other brand to this extent I am sure fender or Warwick also have the same problem. Btw I bought my main sr5 a 2005 model in blue dawn colour for 1000 euro second hand. It's been my favourite bass since I got it.

4 Strings
Is it because stingrays in particular are, in my opinion anyway, sort of hard wearing utility type bass and gold and bling just doesn't seem to go for many?
