Dolando
I'm really interested, I have a lined allparts neck. But I'm unsure if its ebony or ebenal. I was told it was ebony when I got it years ago, or sure though. How does ebonal compare to ebony? Thanks

Sorry , I bought a fretless bass a few weeks ago on Basschat but I have since bought a fretted neck. Maybe someone on here would know but I really can't help. simwells
Ebony will have a visible grain and pores which ebanol won't as it's a synthetic material.
Ghost Rider
No visible grain so I guess its Ebanol

These things sound incredible on any bass - mine's on an AXL Jazz bass copy with inexpensive PUPS and a cheap Artec pre. Best sounding (and playing) fretless I've ever had. If I didn't need a fretted bass for my classic rock covers band then I'd have had this for a second fretless bass.
