Went to see Thin Lizzy in Liverpool last night. Great night was had by all. Marco Mendoza does make me laugh though; classic rock posturing but his "dancing" put me in mind of Gollum dancing on hot sand. And what's with the clit tickler on his bottom lip? Nice Yamaha BB though B)

I haven't seen Thin Lizzy play live since the Thunder & Lightning Tour.
I'm tempted to go see them this coming week, when they play in Birmingham.

Does anyone know if they play any new material from the forthcoming new album?

Oh yes, Marco is a wicked bass player

They could get rid of Marco & Ricky, and get........me! Lol, in my dreams

I saw em in Leeds last year for the first time since Thunder & Lightning. i know Marco is a virtuoso player, but from where I was, I could hardly hear him

No, it's a strictly geatest hits event and a great event it is too. Go live and you'll hear MM. Apparently they have a new album ready to release but will be putting it out under another name.

TBH I think that Scott Gorham and Brian Downey have realised that that they have become the world's biggest tribute act and TL will continue to play live but not release new material. The Liverpool Academy was sold out and of all the gigs I've been to at that venue I've never seen it so full - absolutely rammed.

Thin Lizzy were undoubtedly one of the greatest bands ever to come out of the British Isles in my opinion . I'm not surprised that people still turn out in droves to see them live , especially in Liverpool . It has always been a city with very close links to the Emerald Isle .
