rough prices for custom neck,any idea?

As above really,have been toying with the idea of getting a new neck custom made for my sterling,same as original just in a really nice maple,birdseye sort of thing. Just wondered what I can expect to pay. Have emailed a few local luthiers but no reply as of yet,and don't wanna waste their time if we are talking high 000s. Thanks!

Also musikraft.com. The necks aren't cheap but the list of options looks impressive. Beent threatening to buy one off them myself for a while now.
