Leen2112
Ok so, I've seen a few bassists and guitarists who can play something then hit a pedal and it plays back while you can play over it. I saw a guy who could layer about 5 tracks. What is this? or do I need a pile of samplers or what? Cheers Leen.
elephantgrey
your looking for a looper pedal, id check out boss' RC range, i have an RC 50, and i love it. things i would look for would be, how long you can record for, how many phrases you can have (how many "tracks" that you can start/stop/overdub individually), and MIDI in/out for connecting to other time-based effects you might have (ie delay)
MarshallBTB
Your after a loop pedal of some sort. There are a few to choose from, depending what you want when it comes to playback time, onboard memory etc. They range from simple one stomp units to bigger (and more expensive) units for controlling multiple layers, effects and pitch/tempo of loops. I recently bought a Digitech Jamman and love it, not the most capable pedal but perfect for what I need. Check out www.looperpedalreviews.com loads of info there! Leen2112
Thanks guys, that RC looks cool as, but maybe a touch too much for what I need, I'm hauling a pile of effects anyway so another board I can do without. Thanks for the link, I'll see what I can get in the sales. Cheers
RhysP
The Akai Headrush is a good basic looper, and is also a really good delay pedal too.
