Ancient Mariner
But can't *possibly* justify. http://www.gak.co.uk/en/gibson-grace-potter-signature-flying-v-nocturnal-brown/70007 It's so wrong: Signature instrument. check Womans guitar. check Gibson. check Despite having owned 2 Vs including a Gibson in the past, I'd still really like a good one. leftybassman392
It is a gorgeous thing to be sure, and I can well understand your thinking. (Not too sure how it would go down at your church though ) Strangely enough I've never really lusted after a Flying V - not too sure why. An Explorer though..... Speaking of such things (and with apologies for hijacking your thread a little), my new SuperTele is here! Oh my! Pictures appearing soon in the Rob Williams thread.... [/quote] Congrats on the super tele (my next stop). I've used Vs before in church, and used to enjoy turning up with slightly outrageous guitars occasionally. I don't have an explorer but i do have a Washburn A20V - one of the original performers from the early 80s - and it's still a favourite. LiamPodmore
What i would like for Christmas myself: Taylor 814ce (Anyone offering?!?!) What i am more likely to get: Ibanez EW20xxx Not that i have any complaints at all about the Ibanez EW series, gorgeous guitars for the price, but that Taylor 814ce is just wonderful... Also, AM that black Washburn isn't something i'd normally like, but daaammmmmnnn that thing looks good. Liam

Ok, I'll get my coat... Meanwhile, can I just second Bilbo's sentiment about Christmas wishes (even the colour is esactly right). I'll just have to hope Santa gets to me before Bilbo! I had an A15, but mine had been modded - very clumsily I might add - with Seymour Duncan Humbuckers and coil-taps. Great guitar, mine was in a very vibrant electric blue. Also had a V profile neck. Ancient Mariner
I sold the A15 to help partially fund the Gibson V. Which (of course) I regret, because it was substantially better than the Gibson.
rumour6
Funny you should mention it but... I've never used Gibson basses (apart from a small shot of a week or so to convince myself it was against nature...) BUT, recently I keep looking at a Flying V bass on these very pages... I'm 56 and should know better... or should I
