apa
Nother amazing icon gone. I saw him back in about 1989. The most amazing concert Ive ever seen. He could literally make a sitar talk. He was telling tales and jokes on it. Seriously. I will never forget that evening. Thank you Ravi. RIP A
scalpy
An unbelievable musician, almost incomprehensible how much skill and knowledge has been lost, but he did so much to educate and entertain as well. My mum knew him when she studied at Dartington, and he once dealt with the police when she arrested for D&D! (She was found singing in the middle of a river!) He hardly knew her, but approached all of life with the warmth and affection he put into his music. Ravi has come up in conversation with many of my musician friends, and many of them who have seen or met him all mention just how his positivity made their encounters truly memorable. RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
Don't really know what to say. I remember where I used to work in a place, where me and my bosses played CDs everyday . Unfortunately , I had to endure about 2 hours of torture one day. It was my bosses turn to put something on.must have been about 2 hours of Ravi Shankar. Tedium at its worst. Obviously talented and more respected than his brother Michael. Rip anyway

Angel
I was an usher at a concert for him and his daughter once. I have to say that I don't get that music though, I can't relate to it at all.
