Marvin
I was watching a gig on thursday (organised and hosted by Tony Butler of Big Country fame, sorry I just had to ). I was stood at the bar with a very good local bass player and he started playing air bass. I pointed out he'd obviously bent his air bass as he was plucking the side of his hip but his fretting hand was in the traditional position Edited December 15, 2012 by Marvin

fretmeister
All the time. Although the Steve Harris machine gun thing looks damn odd without a bass.
yepmop
The beauty of playing air bass is that you never play and bum notes and those difficult lines/solos are always perfect. I look at Air Bass as an extension of Jaco's visualising play the bass.
