Jag_Bassist
hi guys, i have a Tc electronic RH450 amp head which i am currently using with the RS410 cabinet. the head can handle anything above 4 ohms and the rs410 is 8 ohms. no problem there. im looking to add my other cabinet as well ( a custom made 4x12 cabinet) which is 4 ohms. would this be ok to run? ive never been to sure on ohm ratings. Jag_Bassist
oh right can it? the back of it says minimum 4ohms
chris_b
Look at the TC RH450 User Manual. RH450 Power Rating & Active Power Management on the very last page there is a table which lists the RH450 as Min Load 2.66R. That means you can either run 3 x 8 ohm cabs, which is 2.66 ohms or 1 x 8 ohm cab and 1 x 4 ohm cab, which is the same.
chris_b
...oh right can it? the back of it says minimum 4ohms....
That was TC's little game, where they said you could run 3 of their cabs but they pretended you could only run 2 of anyone else's cabs. They have now come clean and added the correct info into the manual.
